The three-day music festival takes place every April at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Whether you’re attending the festival or not this year, here’s a round-up of things to do before, during and after Stagecoach during your stay in Greater Palm Springs. Those looking for a true cowboy experience in the region should check out Smoke Tree Stables in Palm Springs. Travel on horseback along the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains or through the majestic Agua Caliente Indian Canyons and take in the sights, sounds and history the trails have to offer. Tours are offered by the hour or for the entire day, and each comes complete with riding gear, a horse companion and an experienced guide. If traveling with a big group, group rides are also available with the option to include western cookouts or western-themed events on your riding trip.

What happens at Stagecoach doesn’t have to end at Stagecoach—especially if you wander over to Indio’s famed Western-themed watering hole: Neil’s Lounge. Cowboy silhouettes welcome you to this low-key saloon, best known by locals as one of the top spots for karaoke. While you’re there, channel your inner country music star as you belt out your favorite hits on the mic.

Fun fact: Stagecoach headliners like Keith Urban have been known to pop into Neil’s Lounge—and even take the karaoke stage—during the festival, so keep an eye on who’s taking the stage.
 

Tack Room Tavern

You’ll be saying “Yeehaw” as you make your way into the Tack Room Tavern in Indio. Country vibes fill the room as you make your way inside to the cowboy-decorated bar, complete with saddle seats and all! Whether you’re craving a tasty serving of old-fashioned chili, North Carolina pulled pork or the famous Tack Room baby back ribs, the menu is full of country and south-of-the-border eats. Come sundown, the Tack Room Tavern is the perfect place to get your two-step on, with live music playing on select nights.
 

Palm Canyon Roadhouse

For over 70 years, the iconic Palm Canyon Roadhouse has been a beloved gathering spot for both locals and visitors, blending old-school charm with modern entertainment. Gather 'round the Agave Caliente Tequila Bar at Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City for Caliente Country Nights every Thursday from 7 PM - 9 PM.  A professional line dancing instructor will be available from 7 PM to 8:30 PM to teach you the moves, including Line Dancing, Square Dancing, Two Step, and more. Every week you'll have a chance to win concert tickets and enter for a chance to win the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $250 Visa Gift Card after a final dance off between all the weekly winners. There's no better way to have fun, make new friends, and experience the joy and energy of country music and dance at Caliente Country Nights.
 

Country Friday's at Tuscano's

A country night event with a beginner line dancing class and a party atmosphere. From the twang of a guitar to the sound of a fiddle, the music of country sets the tone for an unforgettable evening filled with fun, laughter, and good company. Whether you're dancing the two-step, enjoying a cold beer with friends, or indulging in Tuscano's delicious and diverse food menu — Country Friday's at Tuscano's offers a perfect space for the start of your weekend. So put on your cowboy boots, grab your hat, and get ready for a night you won't soon forget. The event is free with no age restriction and features all-request music videos hosted by Big John from Big 106.1 KPLM. It takes place every Friday at 7 pm and is located at the One Eleven La Quinta center with a recognizable Pizza & Brewery sign.
