Xochitl Peña moved to Greater Palm Springs in 2003. After working at The Desert Sun for 15 years as a city government reporter and most recently an entertainment columnist, she began a new job at Desert Water Agency. But, she never lost her passion for writing about what’s happening in this SoCal oasis. She loves attending and writing about all the major desert events - from Modernism Week and the Palm Springs International Film Festival to the BNP Paribas Open and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. She also loves dogs, especially her rescue chihuahua, Lucy.
