If you “hunger” for something different on a romantic date night, Greater Palm Springs is the right place to be. Any and all of these five dining hotspots will inspire you to kiss and tell… and eat, of course!

JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa | Palm Desert

Our first romantic dining spot is the JW Marriot Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert. This expansive luxury resort comes with plenty of intimate corners for togetherness, as well as several romantic dining options. Start off on a romantic note with a gondola ride across the resort’s waterways, the perfect opportunity for some snuggle time as you make your way to one of the resort’s restaurants. There’s something extra sweet about the unexpected water ride through this beautiful desert playground. Let knife-twirling chefs entertain you at Mikado Japanese Steakhouse, or enjoy your choice of fresh fish delicacies. Speaking of fresh fish, you can also head to the lobby sushi bar and grab chopsticks for two to dive into the signature Momo Sake roll. It should be called the mojo-sake!

Tack Room Tavern | Indio

For an afternoon of amazing food washed down with icy beers, saddle up for a date at the rustically sexy Tack Room Tavern in Indio. This hidden gem is nestled on the grounds of the Empire Polo Club. The décor exudes a definite polo influence, the perfect down-to-earth ambiance for date night. Make sure to try the local beer on tap; La Quinta Brewing Company’s IPA is a sip of liquid love. And as far as the food goes, it will steal your heart. Visit on Friday or Saturday night when live music promises to rev up the romance factor.

Lavender Bistro | La Quinta

Everything is coming up shades of purple at the ultra-romantic Lavender Bistro in the intimate village of La Quinta. This twinkling wonderland is sweetly sexy, especially on the outdoor patio that surrounds you with blooming flowers and sparkles. Put your lips on their Lavender Botanical Martini with house-made lavender simple syrup made from violets, then feast on a platter of steamed mussels prepared with white wine and served with truffle French fries.

Europa | Palm Springs

Our next spot is the proposal-worthy Europa restaurant in Palm Springs. This hideaway isn’t just romantic—it is downright enchanting. The mood inside Europa is love at first sight: draped tables, crackling fire, moon-lit patios and almost too-pretty-to-eat plates of food. What else can you possibly ask for? Perhaps the wonderful love songs of a harp that also underscore the fine dining. Ask for a table by the main fireplace and take your time. In fact, you may want to stay the night at their equally romantic inn, Villa Royale.

Peaks Restaurant, Mt. San Jacinto

At our final pick, jackets are required—warm ones—because you are heading up the mountain on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for dessert. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is amazing at any time, but at night it’s simply breathtaking. At the tip top of Mt. San Jacinto is Peaks Restaurant, where the views are beyond stunning. Take a table in the Crow’s Nest to be perched even higher up. Make sure you pry your eyes away from the sparkling lights below to share some eye contact across the table. Just a note: the decadent desserts here are a sweet ending to any day.
