Fun in the Sun
The Saguaro Palm Springs
By Cynthia Serna, Notes by Cin
The perfect girls' getaway in Greater Palm Springs consists of three things: lots of drinks, food and plenty of pool time. For the best experience in all three, I recommend heading over to The Saguaro Palm Springs. Here, ladies can soak up some sun and dance the day away at their Olympic-sized pool, while also indulging in refreshing spirits and yummy snacks at the Pool Bar. Also, be sure to dine at El Jefe for brunch, lunch or dinner to enjoy delicious Mexican-inspired plates and goodies, as well as take advantage of their happy hour between Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m. This locale is especially great for bachelorette parties as the hotel provides special bachelorette packages!
ARRIVE Palm Springs
By Niki Bowen, The Darling Niki
Nothing says girls getaway in the oasis quite like a poolside afternoon at a beautiful hotel, which is why love grabbing my best gals and booking a cabana at ARRIVE in Palm Springs. Arrive offers the perfect atmosphere for a laid back day in the sun, poolside DJs every weekend and the yummiest Aperol Spritz in town. Of course no girls getaway would be complete without the perfect Instagram shots, don’t you agree? The Ice Cream & Shop(pe) at Arrive stocks plenty of colorful pool floats, including a turquoise parrot, to grab before heading to the pool for that perfect photo. Sounds like an ideal afternoon to me!
Grub With the Gals
Norma's
By Alle Pierce, Alle Abroad
There is simply no place more perfect for a girly, indulgent brunch than Norma’s at Parker Palm Springs. From the moment you drive up to those iconic orange doors to the mid-century modern common spaces - the hotel hits all the PERFECT Palm Springs marks. I always order the Waz-Za? for the table (a decedent fruit-filled Belgian waffle) and the Huevos Rancheros for myself. Ooo and if you really want to take things over the top, book yourself a spa treatment at the hotel’s Palm Springs Yacht Club.
Melvyn's
By Caroline June, Love & Loathing LA
It’s tough to choose just ONE favorite activity to partake in with my girls in Greater Palm Springs, between all of the gorgeous hotels, bars, restaurants, and spas there are so many ways to have a blast together! But off the top of my head, one of my favorite ways to have fun together is dinner at Melvyn’s followed by cocktails and entertainment in the bar. I absolutely love the live music acts, everyone is always having a great time dancing, and with all of its incredible history it just seems so quintessentially "Palm Springs". It’s like no other place on earth.
Mountain High
Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
By Brooke Butler, Brooke's Style Diary
Greater Palm Springs is THE destination for a girls' weekend! Palm Springs is internationally known for luxury resorts, architecture, & the vast amount of pools. Pool time at your hotel is a "go-to" activity, but I have a hidden secret that I love. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is an amazing way to escape for a few hours, while you are still here. After a 10-minute tram ride up, you are elevated up to a beautiful forest...that has a bar. You can explore the San Jacinto State Park and hike the 54 miles of trails. When you are ready to head back in, you can grab a drink at the bar with an amazing view of Greater Palm Springs. The perfect way to end your trip is dinner at Peaks Restaurant.
Stop and Smell the Cacti
Moorten Botanical Garden
By Katy Carrier, Palm Springs Style
Moorten Botanical Garden in Palm Springs is a great spot to visit with your girls! The gardens were initially established in the 1930s and feature thousands of cacti and desert plant species, including many rare varieties in the "Cactarium" (the cactus greenhouse you've likely seen all over Instagram!). After strolling through the grounds, you can purchase a cactus or succulent to take home from their on-site nursery.
Treat Yourself
El Paseo Shopping District
By Kaylee Price, Kaylchip
Take a drive to the famous El Paseo shopping street in Palm Desert. This mile-long strip dotted with high-end fashion boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants is the perfect place to treat yourself in the oasis. Fuel up at the famous brunch spot, Wilma and Frieda’s, before stopping into stores like Anthropologie, The Body Deli and Saks Fifth Avenue. Make sure to visit the colorful Trina Turk boutique for that iconic Palm Springs look. Finish the day at Tommy Bahama’s terrace restaurant for incredible views of the desert mountains. Order a round of grapefruit basil martinis and cheers to a successful shopping day with the girls!
Dazzles & Revivals
By Corey Marshall, Miss Foodie Problems
Aside from all of the delicious food and drinks around Greater Palm Springs, I love to hunt for vintage and thrift finds with my girlfriends. We always stop by Dazzles on our way through town. It’s a beautifully curated spot for home goods, jewelry, and other accessories. Revivals is another fun option – there are a few of them in the area and they’re a much larger store with furniture, home goods and a ton of clothing to sift through!
Destination PSP

One of my favorite things to do during a girl's weekend is SHOPPING!!!! Specifically at this amazing little gem called Destination PSP. As a local born and raised in Greater Palm Springs, I never imagined loving a souvenir shop as much as I love this one! This isn't your average tacky key chain type of place but rather a shop selling a taste of the Palm Springs lifestyle. All of the items are curated from local businesses like Desert Arc, Trina Turk, and the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. So grab your girls and wander into one of my faves where the locals shop!
Visiting the oasis this summer? These summer cocktails are guaranteed to keep you and your posse cool. Cheers!
