For the freshest local produce, herbs, honey, nuts, cheese, cut flowers, plants, fresh baked breads from L’Artisan Bakery, chef demonstrations, and live music, visit the Certified Farmers’ Markets three outdoor locations during season: Palm Springs, Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Camelot Theater parking lot; Palm Desert, Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. adjacent to the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce office; and along Old Town La Quinta’s Main Street Sundays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Local and regional vendors will provide tastings of craft beer, premium cocktails and casual street food at the annual Brew in LQ Craft Beer Festival, Nov. 18, 4 to 9 p.m. at the city’s Civic Center Park. Brews, live music, food, games and art under the stars amplifies the parks’ natural beauty surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountains. The La Quinta Craft Beer Festival benefits Rotary Club programs.

Props & Hops Craft Beer Festival | Nov. 18, 2017

The Palm Springs Air Museum’s annual Props & Hops Craft Beer Festival, Nov. 18, 12 to 5 p.m., pours more than 20 craft brews including Coachella Valley Brewing, Hangar 24, Bootlegger’s Brewery, Ballast Point, Absolution and more. Belly up to food trucks such as Knights of Columbus Pizza, Devilicious Food Truck, The Big Easy Sandwich Company, Grills Gone Wild and the Tamale Guy. Explore the museum’s vintage planes and helicopters; and watch pilots rev up a few props for some daring air shows. The event benefits the museum’s collections and programs.

Indio International Tamale Festival | Dec. 2-3, 2017

The rich Mexican heritage of the tamale is celebrated in Old Town Indio on the first weekend in December during the Indio International Tamale Festival with colorful booths selling fragrant tamales made by both professional chefs and local residents. From artisan to savory homemade, talented tamale makers have put this festival on the map. Food Network TV rated the Tamale Festival in the top 10 among “All American Food Festivals.”  Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Riverside County Fair & Date Festival | Feb. 16-25, 2018

Since 1947, the Riverside County Fair & Date Festival has celebrated the annual date harvest with a village of festival food booths from barbecued to deep fried, date shakes, churros, ice cream, cotton candy and more. The fair also offers local agricultural displays, farm and exotic animals and educational exhibits, plus live and headliner entertainment. Held at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio, Feb. 16-25, 2018, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Rancho Mirage Food & Wine Festival | Feb. 17, 2018

Come sip, swirl and savor a selection of more than 200 hand-crafted wines from top tier wineries and cuisine from 15 top local chefs at the Rancho Mirage Wine & Food Festival, Feb. 17, at the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater and Community Park. Admission includes a souvenir wine glass for unlimited tastings and variety of gourmet appetizers, cheeses and artisan breads and olive oils. The event also supports local charities with a silent auction.

The three-day Food + Wine Festival Palm Desert on El Paseo presents some of the best chefs, vintners and breweries locally and from across the country.  A James Beard gourmet four-course luncheon kicks of the event on Friday. During two days of grand tastings guests can taste bites from local and regional restaurants, sip more than 60 premium wines or sample unique beers and ciders. Brew at the Zoo | April 7, 2018

Craft beer, food and wine tasting at The Living Desert on Saturday, April 7, 6 to 9:30 p.m., highlights Brew at the Zoo. Sip and stroll around the grounds while enjoying live entertainment, activities, give aways, animal encounters, and more. Craft beer from some of the finest specialty breweries will be served along with premium wines and non-alcoholic beverages. Culinary adventures range from Italian, Mexican, American, and barbecue to desserts by some of the Greater Palm Spring’s best restaurants and caterers. One of The Living Desert’s major fundraiser, Brew at the Zoo participants will be “Saving Wildlife One Beer at a Time.”

Dining Out for Life | April 26, 2018

This annual dining fundraising event raises money for local AIDS service organizations across the nation. Palm Springs’ Dining Out for Life enlists more than 60 local restaurants who donate 33 percent or more of the day’s proceeds to Desert AIDS Project. Make plans to dine out for breakfast, lunch, dinner and more at participating restaurants.

Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week | June 2018

Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week, a 10-day dining event, takes place at participating restaurants throughout the Greater Palm Springs area offering lunch and dinner prices with set menus. Discounted two-course lunch menus and three-course dinner menus are available at more than 100 area restaurants.
