Taste of Indio

Enjoy the Fourth Annual Taste of Indio, held at Jackalope Ranch by the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce and the City of Indio. More than a dozen local restaurants offer a “taste of Indio” with small bites, drinks and more.
Palm Springs Leather Pride

Kick off a season of LGBT events with Palm Springs Leather Pride, held the weekend before Greater Palm Springs Pride for guests who want to book an extended getaway to enjoy both celebrations. Palm Springs Leather Pride includes a weekend full of events, including the crowning of Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2017.
Theatre: Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical

Enjoy a local performance courtesy of Palm Canyon Theatre. Based on the Oscar-winning film The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the musical follows the adventures of a trio of drag queens who journey across the Australian Outback.
32nd Annual 6K Tram Road Challenge

Are you up for the challenge? Every October, runners and walkers from around the world take on the challenge of the Tram Road 6K, which climbs 2,000 vertical feet in just under 4 miles. Benefiting United Way of the Desert, this race gifts all finishers with a customized medal.
Lorikeets: Winged Wonders of the World
Oct. 28 - Feb. 4
Experience a free-flying colorful spectacle at The Living Desert as they debut their latest exhibit this weekend. Guests enter the exhibit with a cup of sweet nectar that draws lorikeets onto your hands, arms, shoulders and head for a sip. The aviary features six sub-species of lorikeets and two sub-species of lories, with a grand total of more than 60 birds.

Look to the sky with the Astronomical Society of the Desert during their “Star Party,” complete with sky tours through telescopes and giant binoculars.
Halloween & Dia de Los Muertos Events
Grab your costumes and get ready for a spooky time in the oasis. From costume parties and movie screenings to 5K runs and chili cookoffs, there are plenty of ways to celebrate this weekend, and we have a round-up of Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos events in Greater Palm Springs here.
PS Underground: Bite
October 28 | 6:30 – 10 p.m.
This diabolical dinner party by PS Underground is not for the faint of heart. Billed as a “sinister feast” in the “lair of the undead,” this darkly themed dinner show promises to be a bloody good time.
Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade
October 29, 2017 | 12:00 p.m.
Come early to stake out a spot along El Paseo or make reservations at one of the many street-side restaurants for the best views of the annual Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade. This year’s Desert Safari theme will draw dozens of decked-out golf carts down El Paseo for the 53rd annual event.
