The Southwest Arts Festival brings critically acclaimed artists from around the globe to Greater Palm Springs. It interweaves a variety of different art and craft styles such as traditional, contemporary, and fine art.

Giving Back to the Community:

The festival helps give back to Greater Palm Springs by being one of the largest fundraisers in the year. The Southwest Arts Festival helps raise funds for various nonprofit organizations in the oasis. Besides helping to benefit local charities in Greater Palm Springs, a special emphasis is placed into the community itself. The festival has the help of a large volunteer base. Over two hundred community leaders and volunteers put in long hours and time to help organize the success of the event.

Outside Recognition:

Travel Magazine has recognized the festival as one of the Top 100 Events in North America. Each year, the event aims to attract a "high caliber of talented artists and unique artwork." The careful curation of the event makes it one of the best art shows in the nation annually. In addition, its "first-class quality" reputation and "professional integrity" make it one of the greatest juried art festivals in the United States. The jury process starts online with a blind jury, some of them also artists, to review submissions. Artists with the top scores at the end are invited to the actual festival. This year's iteration of the event accepted 250 artists from around the world.
