Keeping our Partners informed and armed with the resources they need to navigate these challenging times has been the primary focus of the Partnership team since March 2020. The strategy has switched from monthly networking and educational events for Partners to daily email communications and outreach to assess CVB Partners' immediate needs. The CVB is working with local agencies, chambers and government organizations to stay informed of the latest developments for our Partners and help shape relief efforts.

The CVB celebrated National Travel & Tourism Week May 3-9, with a series of virtual events to rally support for an industry that will be crucial to our community’s recovery and to instill the #SpiritOfTravel in us all, even from afar. Because in times like these, we are stronger, and greater, together.

The National Travel & Tourism Week events included:

Monday: a live webinar with “The Radical Mentor” Cindy Novotny of Master Connections

Tuesday: a virtual happy hour with Fresh Agave

Wednesday: a CVB response and recovery town hall with guest speaker Caroline Beteta, President and CEO of Visit California

Thursday: a Greater Together celebration of tourism giving back to the community during this crisis

Friday: a morning yoga practice followed by an inspirational message from our tourism partners and the release of our new destination music video featuring local artists

Recordings of the webinars can be found HERE.

  • Partnership Opportunities

    • Tourism Foundation: The Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation is collecting donations to support local workers in the tourism and hospitality industry facing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19. All donations will provide economic relief to Greater Palm Springs families who depend on work in the hospitality and tourism industry for their livelihood. Funds will be distributed by local nonprofit Lift to Rise and United Way of the Desert, through the Coachella Valley Economic Protection Plan and Support Fund. A 30-second spot was created to raise awareness for this cause. For more information, visit

    • Public Service Announcement: In partnership with Riverside County, this 30-second spot will be used as a resource to educate the public on the importance of staying in place, maintaining space, covering your face and washing your hands.

    • Greater Together: This 30-second spot was created to show community support within Greater Palm Springs.

    • Stay In, Take Out: In an effort to support the community, this page contains a list of local restaurants offering takeout, curbside pickup and delivery, updated on an ongoing basis.
