This class is for anyone who would like to learn the basics of how to paint and only has weekends to take a class or workshop. Perhaps you have painted many years ago and could use a refresher or maybe you are self-taught and want to be sure you are not missing something. The class works with watercolor but the first three parts translate to all colored mediums (acrylic, oil, pastel and to a certain extent colored pencil).
This is a fun but intensive 2-day class which runs approximately six hours per day plus a break for lunch. There is a mixture of talks, demos, class exercises and time for questions and individual guidance as you go along.
All materials are provided. You will be working with paint and, even though watercolor is not an especially messy medium, we suggest you dress accordingly. This class is appropriate for adults and teens 16 and up. You will work hard in an enjoyable and friendly environment and you will learn a lot.
To attend, tickets are available through the museum’s box office (760.325.4490).
