Be transported back to the Hollywood and Palm Springs Golden Era with your favorite music, good wine, great food and guest stars who were there. The popular event will be hosted at the glamorous “Rat Pack Hideaway.” Patterned after the quintessential Rat Pack party on stage, enjoy a non-stop, energetic evening of live music mixed with Palm Springs and Hollywood history, trivia and dish. Included is a dazzling three course gourmet sit down dinner. Each week a guest star will share their insider stories and/or perform. Guest stars Include Joyce Bulifant, Peggy Gohl, Gavin MacLeod, Bill Marx, Ruta Lee, and Gregg Oppenheimer.
Dinner The dinner, including two wine, beer or soft drinks per person, will be catered by popular local food purveyor PS Underground, who will provide a scrumptious three course meal. Included in the purchase price, will be an additional, complimentary wine reception and warm welcome.
The Show The show is filled with many of the Rat Pack’s favorite hits, as well as music from composers, singers, TV and movie stars who have had homes in the Coachella Valley including: Hoagy Carmichael, Jerry Herman, Sammy Cahn, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Judy Garland and many more. Guests are welcomed to sing along as we raise our glasses, literally toasting our favorite stars.
Performers Hear your favorite songs sung by the dynamic trio,The Golden Era Singers. The dynamic trio features Francesca Amari, an award-winning actress and cabaret vocalist who has appeared on the top cabaret stages from New York to Hollywood. Her perfect counterpoint is crooner Gilmore Rizzo, who tours nationally with his own show, “That’s Amore,” and appeared for 8 years on the Emmy-winning TV series, “Murphy Brown.” Accompanist Bryan Miller, who toured nationally with “I Love Lucy Live,” is a staple of the Hollywood piano bar scene, completes the trio with his virtuosity, wit and charm.
The Setting The event will be hosted at “The Rat Pack Hideaway,” the timeless Las Palmas rancho estate frequented by Frank Sinatra and his entourage so often that the nick name stuck. Outside, under the stars, heaters or fans will keep you comfortable regardless of the weather, however, please dress accordingly. One of the oldest properties in Palm Springs, this glamorous estate has now become a weekend getaway for Hollywood A-Listers.
