LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL

A short drive from LAX, Greater Palm Springs is an eternally stylish escape with deep Hollywood roots dating back to the 1920s. Stars like Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe flocked to the Southern California oasis from L.A. for relaxing getaways in the 1940s and 50s. Greater Palm Springs, renowned as the “US Capital of Modernism”, has been inspiring iconic design and world-leading designers for generations.
This summer, three incredible, super-sized art installations by Nina Tolstrup of Studiomama and presented by Mattel, Inc.’s Barbie® and Visit Greater Palm Springs, will arrive in central London as part of London Design Festival (14-22 September).
Pavilions of Wonder is inspired by the instantly recognizable midcentury modern architecture prevalent throughout Greater Palm Springs and the iconic architecture of the Barbie DreamHouse™, which have been, in part, inspired by the architecture of Greater Palm Springs and midcentury modernist style.
'Pavilions of Wonder’ will be exhibited at The Strand Aldwych
