What a blessing coming down and enjoying a Mel's crazy classic double burger. The experience was outstanding customer service over the top. Every time it's a new experience and great view of Palm spring mountain. Thank You Mel and staff for your support...

We came here for a good margarita because we heard they make really good drinks. I asked if they had Herradurq tequila. She said yea they have herradurq reposada. I was so happy and ordered three drinks with it; 2 margaritas and one tequila sunrise. Total was $47.
The drinks come out and they are SOOOO weak. I mean SUPER WEAK like you couldnt taste the tequila at all, and very clear in color so no tint of a reposadq in the margaritas. My friend went back to the bar and asked to buy a shot of the Herradura to add it to our drink, and the bartender says they don't have Herradura !!!! They made our drinks with patron silver which I am not a fan of, and he proceeded to SELL my friend the patron shot. Didn't offer it free since they behaved fraudulently by passing off the patron as Herradura. Disgusting way of doing business. No apology offered either. My husband didn't drink his sunrise because it tasted like fruit punch. Gross.
They lost three customers and all that I tell the story to.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 26, 2019
This is a cute little place in downtown Palm Springs, there were a lot of people enjoying lunch there, so we decided to stop.
I was hoping for a great burger and fries, but they just weren't that great. The patties tasted like they were frozen, and not of great quality. Our server was nice and friendly and efficient. He was the bright spot of the day.
The fries were OK, not great, not terrible. One person in our group ordered the onion rings, which he shared, because he had a huge order, and they were fantastic! I would definitely recommend them.
Maybe the other things on the menu besides the burgers are better, but I can't speculate too much because all of us had burgers and they were just OK.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Maria G.Tucson, AZ1203721531Dec 11, 2021
We stopped in for lunch immediately after getting to Palm Springs. I was happily surprised, there was so much free parking downtown.
The name Crazy Mel's and the tables on the sidewalk drew us in. There wasn't any indoor dining in Palm Springs at the time of our visit, 2/25/21.
My first question was if kids were allowed. Crazy Mel's looks like a bar. They did have a kid's menu posted outside with the rest of the menu.
The bartender was friendly. He was behind a bar open to the outside, and behind plexiglass. Everyone was wearing masks (except at the tables). I was happy with the setup.
We ordered a kid's hot dog, patty melt, and a side of fried green beans. The food was fine, not amazing, and not bad. I had a pint of beer.
It was fun to watch the people walk by and the people eating and shopping across the street.
It was a quick meal, just what we wanted.
The restroom was behind the neighboring building. There was a code to get in. From the outside it looked rough. Inside the bathroom was clean.
Overall, not a bad place to enjoy the sunny weather, get a drink, and a bite to eat.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Nov 29, 2021
What fun refreshing place to coast into on the downtown strip. My husband and I were doing a little Christmas shopping and needed a break. Their eye catching signs pulled us in and the.rest is history. I immediately saw the Shawn sandwich and ordered that. Every bite was delicious. My husband had a Philly cheese steak. And chili fries. He enjoyed both. We were able to commander the easy chairs next to the bar which was playing pleasant music. The server and bartender were both awesome. Two thumbs up. Go in drives and see what the guys is about.

9/4/21: A cool burger joint near the Marilyn Monroe statue. The California burger was fantastic 9/10. The fish tacos 7/10. The portion of french fry was rather small. You order at the bar and sit down. No one ever asked us for drink refills in the 107 heat. You have to go up to the bar to get one. They should have either music or sports on the TV instead of blaring CNN.

24/11/21 13:40-Had the #2 combo Cheeseburger/coleslaw/large soft drink. $12,95. Everything was so good! One of the best burgers I've ever had. Coleslaw was very yummy. Free refills on the soft drink. My mate had the house salad ($11,95) which was a huge portion and came with bacon and cheese sprinkles. Our server who was the skinny guy with spectacles was very friendly and professional. Come with patience and enjoy dining alfresco on the busy Palm Canyon Strip as COVID-19 has caused a shortage in wait staff.

Simple burger place on the strip. Burgers are good but messy. Coleslaw was good and had a bit of tang to it. Service was fast and staff is friendly.

What a great treat in 115F heat!!! Simple diner menu of burgers, sandwiches, finger foods plus full bar, draft beers and excellent house made red sangria.
What a great late lunch with burger combo and they even made garlic fries for me. All parts of the burger were fresh and simple. Friendly crowd on front and side patio with misters and fans working well. Tables cleaned 2x while i was there. Staff is friendly and helpful.
My sweet surprise was being offered an ice cream cone by staff before i left ....i was a single weekday diner.
Next to great shopping stores which are usually open 10/11am to only 5-7pm. Check signs to be sure
If u want a simple fresh well made meal, drinks and a relaxed patio setting in the middle of downtown PS this is your place.
As a local PS resident I'm so pleased I stopped in.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
