Surf's Up in the Desert: Discover the Palm Springs Surf Club

Catch a wave in the heart of Greater Palm Springs at Palm Springs Surf Club, where an unforgettable surfing experience unfolds beneath swaying palms and the San Jacinto Mountains. This one-of-a-kind destination pairs state-of-the-art waves with resort-style relaxation, flavorful dining and family-friendly fun—all in a spectacular setting.

What is the Palm Springs Surf Club?

At the heart of Palm Springs Surf Club, a state-of-the-art wave pool makes catching the perfect wave possible for surfers of varying skill levels. First-timers can ease into the experience on slower, gentler waves, while seasoned surfers can take on faster rides and powerful barrels. Choose a public session matched to your experience level, or gather your crew for a private session with waves customized to your group.

Beyond surfing, guests can settle into a rental cabana or join events ranging from lively pool parties to night swims. The property is also available for private venue rentals, with versatile spaces for celebrations, corporate gatherings and other special occasions.

Know Before You Go

Palm Springs Surf Club is open to everyone, no membership required! Reserving your surf session in advance is recommended, and beginner sessions are available seasonally. Pack swimwear, sunscreen, a towel and a change of clothes, or travel light and rent a surfboard and wetsuit when you arrive. Showers, changing rooms and rental lockers make it easy to freshen up after your session. Before heading out, check the club’s website for current hours and availability, as schedules vary throughout the year.

Lounge in Style

Make your day even more relaxing with a private cabana or daybed rental. Set alongside the wave pool, full-day cabanas accommodate up to eight guests and include plush loungers, a flat-screen TV, a private temperature-controlled dip pool and dedicated food and beverage service.

For a laid-back poolside option, daybeds accommodate up to four guests and are available near the lazy river, lounge pool or overlooking the surf pool. Each rental includes food and beverage service and a locking safe for personal belongings. Daybeds are available on select days and waterpark admission is sold separately

Make a Splash at the Waterpark

You don’t have to catch a wave to enjoy Palm Springs Surf Club. The seasonal waterpark offers plenty of ways to cool off, from racing down signature waterslides to drifting along the lazy river. Little ones can splash and play in the shallow splash pad, while those seeking a slower pace can unwind in the lounge pool. A day pass also includes access to onsite bars and dining, plus scenic seating overlooking the surf pool. The waterpark is open seasonally from March to September.

Where to Dine

The experience continues beyond the waves with dining options that capture the fresh, easygoing spirit of California. The Restaurant at the Palm Springs Surf Club showcases seasonal, California-inspired cuisine influenced by the state’s sun-drenched fields, coastal waters and valley gardens. Open to the public, it’s a destination in its own right—even if surfing isn’t part of your plans.

Closer to the action, Drifters offers casual poolside dining, refreshing drinks and laid-back desert atmosphere. Guests can also visit the Island Bar for craft cocktails, local draft beers and more.
