Eastern Sierra InterAgency Visitor Center

This unique facility provides regional information and orientation to travelers in the Eastern Sierra Nevada and Northern Mojave Desert. At this location, one can view Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the contiguous United States, or plan a trip to Death Valley, the largest national park in the contiguous United States, with the lowest elevation in the western hemisphere. The Eastern Sierra Interagency Visitor Center is located at the junction of US Highway 395 and State Route 136, one mile south of Lone Pine.
