Vice President of Sales

This leadership position will represent the organization nationally and locally while managing a sales and service team of fifteen people. The primary responsibilities are to position the destination as one of the top resort locations in the United States, increase group business during need periods and develop alliances with key industry organizations. This leadership position will work closely with the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer on developing new meetings campaigns. It will also evaluate processes, programs, and sales activities to ensure all goals and objectives are achieved effectively. This position must have strong public speaking/presentation skills, proven conflict management experience, and strategic thinking abilities.

Small Meetings Manager

Under supervision of the Director of Convention Sales, represent Visit Greater Palm Springs in our smaller convention sales meeting market. The individual will be responsible for meeting groups of 25 group rooms or less on peak nights. The candidate will work closely with sales managers and directors to assist existing clients with their meetings as well as handling new customer inquiries. As time allows, solicit organizations that might require meeting space and conference rooms at our partner hotels and resorts. Attend trade shows occasionally. Manage distribution of sales tools and client proposals to target client base. Meet with representatives from these organizations.

Communications Coordinator

This position is a multifaceted role, responsible for supporting the Communications Team. The Communications Coordinator will be immersed in day-to-day PR programming. Duties include, but are not limited to, handling media requests and partner referrals, research, reporting, amenity fulfillment, preparing itineraries and other administrative duties. This individual must have strong communication and technical skills, the ability to build relationships with team members, have a strong knowledge about the destination and a willingness to learn and is passionate about promoting Greater Palm Springs.

Convention Sales Coordinator

This position is a multifaceted support role from a services and sales perspective. The Coordinator Position will assist the team with duties like Site Visits, Familiarization Trips, Sales Missions and additional Visit Greater Palm Springs events. Duties include, but are not limited to, handling client servicing requests, partner referrals, research, reporting, amenity fulfillment, lead disbursement, data base management, client itinerary preparation and additional administrative duties as directed by management.  This ideal individual will possess strong communication skills, knowledge of the destination’s key hotels, attractions and services, a passion for teamwork and a willingness to learn and adapt in this fast-paced environment.
