When it comes to things to do in Greater Palm Springs, you won’t find anything as adrenaline-pumping as a day at the BMW Performance Center in Thermal, one of only two BMW driving tracks in the country. Tires squeal. Engines rev. Rubber burns. And drivers of all skill levels can take a spin in the latest BMW models while getting up to speed on everything there is to know about driving. 

Buckle up for hair-raising experiences like:

• BMW Driver’s School: This one- or two-day class covers everything from panic braking to car control to double lane changing. Plus, a timed lap around the track lets you show off everything you’ve learned.
• M School: Take the wheel of a high-performance BMW M vehicle and experience the power of M firsthand. Accelerate, corner and brake faster than you ever have before, then learn to maintain control in low-traction conditions on our wet skid pad while keeping immense horsepower under control. End the day with a hot lapin an instructor-driven M vehicle. Available as a one- or two-day course.
• Group Events and Team Building: Business meets pleasure when you book your next corporate meeting or event here. Imagine high-speed laps in between brainstorming sessions and a world-class catered lunch from a private chef. 
• Teen School: Young drivers can take on lane-change maneuvers, road obstacles and wet skid pad training before testing their limits on the final Challenge Course.
• Private Instruction: Drivers of all skill levels can receive private instruction from a BMW Professional Driving Instructor for 2 hours or a full day, or more. 

If you don’t have a full day, a Performance Drive is a great 2-hour experience that gives you a feel for the different models while also having fun behind the wheel. Afterward, hop in the seat for a hot lap around the track with a certified driving instructor—their pros have years of racing experience and are there to help every step (or turn) of the way.
