FIND Food Bank volunteers represent a cross section of the Greater Coachella Valley and the world! Local businesses, international corporations, organizations, convention attendees, snow birds and tourists alike join FIND to fight food-insecurity in our community with compassion and commitment to accessible, fresh and nutritious food. Impact: FIND Food Bank offers program services for food-insecure residents of the eastern Riverside and southern San Bernardino Counties. As the Desert's Regional Food Bank, FIND reaches approximately 90,000 people a month and distributes over 12 million pounds of food, the equivalent to roughly 10 million meals annually.
Project Availability: Projects are available throughout the year. Closed on all major holidays.
Service Opportunities: Various volunteer opportunities available on site in the warehouse and office as well as in the community with our Free Mobile Market Distributions.
Number of Participants: Volunteer group size varies based on activity.
Volunteer Responsibilities: Opportunities include packing and sorting donated food inside the warehouse as well as administrative duties such as data entry and filing in the office. Volunteers are also welcome at our Free Mobile Market Distributions and various Community Outreach Events to aid in food distribution and interacting with participants.
Attire: Comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes.
