throughout the Oasis and will feature more than 100 eateries.

(Greater Palm Springs, CA) – April 18, 2017–The most-anticipated event on Southern California’s culinary calendar, Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week, is set to return June 2-11, 2017.

“Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week is a highly-anticipated event in the oasis,” said Scott White, President & CEO of the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau. “I am looking forward to seeing what inventive menus our restaurant partners will feature every year. Whether you’re looking for throw-back dining, a la Frank Sinatra, a cozy neighborhood experience, a trendy hangout or even the best locally brewed beer in California, Greater Palm Springs culinary scene is exploding and Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week is a great time of year to sample the region’s eclectic offerings.”

During the ten-day event, many of the region’s finest restaurants and eateries showcase their menu offerings with prix fixe menus. Dinner menus will be available for $29, $39 or $49 per person. And for the first time ever, participants will also be able to sample oasis culinary offerings during the lunch period. Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week lunch menus will be available for $15, $20 or $25.

“The number and quality of participating restaurants continue to grow every year,” said Eric Morcus, President of the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week Association.” “Restaurant week is an excellent way to showcase the diverse dining and culinary options located throughout the Greater Palm Springs.”

This year, Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week will undergo new management, as the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) assumes the role of producing partner with presenting sponsors Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa, Spa Resort Casino and Sysco™.  While Restaurant Week’s once-a-year deals are always highly anticipated by locals, new management this year by the CVB will add an increased emphasis on encouraging visitors to learn about the oasis’ culinary offerings.

First introduced 11 years ago, restaurant week was a way to help boost restaurant sales during what was then a slower time of year. Some 30 Palm Springs restaurants participated in the inaugural event. This year, more than 100 restaurants, located throughout the nine cities comprising Greater Palm Springs, will showcase their menus.
