Rancho Mirage, CA (September 3, 2018) — The Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara Quigley as the new National Sales Manager, in the greater Chicago area and Illinois for Convention Sales. Most recently, Quigley served as the National Sales Manager for Sonoma County Tourism.

Based in Chicago, Quigley brings impressive knowledge of the Chicago and Illinois meetings industry. Quigley’s responsibilities will include developing and booking conventions, trade shows, conferences and meetings for Greater Palm Springs.  Quigley is a longstanding member of Meeting Professionals International, Professional Convention Management Association and Association Forum.

“Barbara has built outstanding relationships with many major companies in Illinois, and she will be a major asset to the CVB’s meeting planning initiatives,” said Mark Crabb, Chief Sales Officer. “We look forward to welcoming her as a great new addition to our Convention Sales team.”

Chicago is the third largest metropolitan area in the United States and is home to nearly 1,600 National Associations that represent more than 27 million members worldwide according to Association Forum. Illinois ranks 4th in the United States for the highest number of Fortune 500 company headquarters (37 companies).

Quigley will start her new role with the CVB on Tuesday, September 4.
