Rancho Mirage, CA — October 31, 2019 — The Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Angie Day, CMP as the new National Sales Manager for the Northeast U.S. and Eastern Canada for Convention Sales. Most recently, Day served as Assistant Director of Sales for Explore Charleston in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets.
Day joins the CVB with nearly 20 years of hotel, resort and DMO experience and is a longstanding member of the American Society of Association Executives where she currently serves on the Industry Partner Alliance. A Certified Meeting Planner, Day is also a member of the Financial and Insurance Conference Professionals, Meetings Professionals International and Professional Convention Management Association.
“Angie’s industry involvement and impressive knowledge will be a major asset to the CVB’s meeting planning initiatives,” said Mark Crabb, Chief Sales Officer. “We look forward to welcoming her as a great new addition to our Convention Sales team.”
Day began her hospitality career as a National Sales Manager for Big Sky Resort followed by working on the sales teams for Marriott properties in Charleston and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. She resides in Charleston with her husband, Mike.
Day will start her new role with the CVB on Nov. 4, 2019.
