Rancho Mirage, CA—April 7, 2021—Visitors to Greater Palm Springs no longer have to seek out hidden art treasures in the thriving arts destination. The Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has updated its artsGPS app just in time for spring. The app makes public art, exhibitions and art-related events easy to find.

Now more than ever, outdoor experiences with rich content are being sought out by travelers for their intriguing stories and relative safety, and with timely events such as Desert X returning to the destination, interest in public art and art installations has grown. The artsGPS app makes it easy for visitors to discover the rich intersection of art and culture throughout the nine cities of Greater Palm Springs: Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio and Coachella.

Users can take a self-guided tour of more than 100 outdoor public art installations scattered throughout Greater Palm Springs and ranging from whimsical and thought-provoking sculptures to colorful wall murals, as well as get a list of the day’s local art exhibits and uncover attractions and things to do. As a bonus, users can also search for local restaurants, book a flight, make hotel reservations and purchase tickets to local attractions through the app.
