(Greater Palm Springs, CA) – October 12, 2018 - The CVB launches its Live Your Wellest campaign, aiming to encourage travelers to indulge in the variety of wellness experiences the destination offers and to Find Your Oasis.

Well· est
/ˈweləstˈ/
The state of pursuing life to its full potential.

Wellness a is way of life, and nobody knows that better than Greater Palm Springs. As a leader in wellness tourism, the Greater Palm Springs CVB is launching its Live Your Wellest campaign in October 2018, encouraging travelers to live their “wellest” by highlighting a variety of health and wellness experiences to fit every type of traveler.

But what exactly does it mean to “live your wellest?” That’s what Greater Palm Springs wants travelers to figure out. A unique answer lies within each individual – as the destination allows guests to define wellness for themselves. An adrenaline seeker might live their wellest while biking through a stunning mountain-lined landscape. Guests that prefer calmness might find their wellest experience during a sound bath in a hot spring or a reiki crystal healing session.

While “wellest” might be a new term, Greater Palm Spring is no stranger to the lifestyle. “Wellest” is a tradition rooted in the destination’s cultural and geographical history. In fact, the Cahuilla Indians called the place “Se-Khi,” which essentially means “boiling water,” a reference to the valley’s abundance of natural hot springs. As the destination grew more popular, Old Hollywood stars would flock to pursue wellness on their own terms.

To emphasize the vastness of the destination’s offerings, the CVB has developed “9 Pillars of Living Your Wellest,” including:

  • Spa Experiences
  • Fitness
  • Outdoor Adventures
  • Nutrition
  • Mindfulness and Mediation
  • Beauty and Cosmetic
  • Medical Tourism
  • Natural Medicine
  • Community and Contribution

Notable events surrounding the “Live Your Wellest” campaign include Wanderlust Wellspring (Oct. 26-28), the 33rd Annual Palm Springs Aerial Tram Road Challenge run (Oct. 27), the Ironman 70.3 (Dec. 9), and Tour de Palm Springs (Feb. 9).
