For the first time, Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week will take place over three weekends, a fantastic opportunity for visitors to plan a long weekend getaway to our sun-filled hideaway. Restaurant Week culminates on Father’s Day, giving diners the option to celebrate dad at one of many diverse eateries offering special menus and pricing.
“Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week has found its recipe for success thanks to our dineGPS partners, and the creative chefs and industry professionals behind our thriving culinary scene,” said Scott White, President & CEO of the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Fine dining in midcentury retro or contemporary surroundings, cozy bistros, urban-inspired gastropubs, global cuisine, casual hangouts, stylish eateries with indoor/outdoor dining—we really have it all and invite everyone to visit our participating restaurants throughout Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week.”
During the 17-day event, many of the region’s finest restaurants and eateries will showcase their menu offerings with prix fixe menus. Dinner menus will be available for $29, $39 or $49 per person. Diners will also be able to sample oasis culinary offerings during the lunch period. Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week lunch menus will be available for $15, $20 or $25. Some restaurants may offer wine pairings and/or supplemental dishes for an additional charge. In addition to the Restaurant Week offerings, standard menus will also be available at regular pricing.
“The number and quality of participating restaurants continue to grow every year,” said Michael Botello, Board Member of the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week Association and owner of Wally’s Desert Turtle.” “Restaurant week is an excellent way to showcase the diverse dining and culinary options located throughout the Greater Palm Springs.”
Restaurant Week was first unveiled in 2007 to help boost restaurant sales during what was then a slower time of year. Some 30 Palm Springs restaurants participated in the inaugural event. This year, more than 100 restaurants, located throughout the nine cities comprising Greater Palm Springs, will showcase their menus.
