JetBlue Soars into Greater Palm Springs With New Nonstop Flights from New York to PSP

Seasonal access into PSP will ramp up earlier, last longer and provide more seats for travelers.

(Greater Palm Springs, CA) - August 31, 2015 - JetBlue Airways will begin seasonal non-stop service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) this winter. The new flights will operate five times per week, Thursday through Monday, between January 14, 2016 and May 1, 2016.

New Yorkers have always had a “Palm Springs” state of mind.  With its new service JetBlue, known for its extra pampering service — from spacious leg room to free snacks and drinks — will allow travelers another option to be able to chill Greater Palm Springs-style.

Greater Palm Springs nine resort cities have become a gathering spot for modernist architecture enthusiast, musicians, artists and modern travelers seeking a getaway with great hotels, restaurants and outdoor activities. Greater Palm Springs’ abundant outdoor adventure offerings include the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, Joshua Tree National Park and hiking the San Jacinto Mountains, as well as world-class events, festivals and celebrations of fashion and architecture, including the Palm Springs International Film Festival, PGA CareerBuilder Challenge, Modernism Week, Coachella Valley Arts & Music Festival, Stagecoach Country Music Festival, Fashion Week El Paseo, La Quinta Arts Festival and BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

JetBlue will bring the number of airlines serving Greater Palm Springs to ten. PSP offers nonstop service from 18 cities that connect to more than 500 global destinations.

East Coast visitors can also peel off winter wear with Virgin America’s continued expanded service from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The seasonal nonstop service from JFK to PSP will begin in November with service every Saturday, continuing through April 23, 2016. In addition, Virgin America will be offering nonstop flights every Wednesday beginning March 16, 2016 through April 2016.

American Airlines will provide a daily non-stop from Chicago-O’Hare International Airport (ORD) beginning October 5, 2015.

WestJet continues its commitment to Greater Palm Springs with increased service from Toronto beginning October 27, 2015. WestJet also provides year round, nonstop service from Calgary and Vancouver; and seasonal, nonstop service from Edmonton and Winnipeg.

Air Canada offers nonstop service from Vancouver (YVR) on leisure subsidiary Air Canada Rouge. The flight will operate on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from December 17, 2015 through April 10, 2016.
