Greater Palm Springs, CA (April 14, 2017) — Tony Bruggemans, former Secretary of The Greater Palm Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) Board of Directors, has been recognized by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN, Travel and Tourism Hall of Fame for his continued leadership and success in driving innovation in the Indonesian hospitality industry.
The ASEAN Travel and Tourism Hall of Fame was established by the Executive Editor of Travel Impact Newswire to mark the 50th anniversary of ASEAN and to honor the industry leaders who founded and shaped the region’s tourism sectors.
“I am especially proud to receive this award,” said Tony Bruggemans member of the Greater Palm Springs CVB Board of Directors and CEO of Sahid International Hotel Management & Consulting Corporation in Indonesia. “My life mantra has always been to prepare the next generation of hoteliers for the future and to build economic vitality in the tourism sector. What an honor it is to be recognized.”
In May, the U.S. Travel Association celebrates its 34th annual National Travel and Tourism Week, uniting communities across the country to draw attention to travel’s importance, from American jobs and economic growth to personal well-being. According to Scott White, President & CEO of The Greater Palm Springs CVB, “The theme of this year’s National Travel and Tourism Week, ‘Faces of Travel,’ shines a spotlight on stewards like Tony Bruggemans who are drivers of tourism’s economic success.
