Palm Springs, CA – October 2, 2025 — Visit Greater Palm Springs (VGPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Forsyth as the new Director of Palm Springs Tourism. In this role, Forsyth will collaborate with the City of Palm Springs and community partners to build on the city’s iconic reputation, strengthen tourism initiatives, and develop strategies that inspire year-round visitation.
Forsyth brings more than 20 years of experience in brand storytelling, and experiential campaigns with global companies including Apple, Netflix, NBCUniversal, and Boston Consulting Group. Most recently, he served as a Fractional Creative Lead, guiding brand strategy and multi-channel campaigns that drove measurable engagement for B2C and B2B clients. He also served as Senior Director of Communication Design for BCG X, where he built and scaled creative services teams and led cross-platform brand campaigns across digital, social, and experiential channels.
His career highlights include producing global marketing activations for Apple TV+, directing visual storytelling for BCG Digital Ventures, and delivering innovative campaigns that integrated emerging technologies such as AI, AR, and interactive media.

Forsyth earned his B.A. in Communications (Film & Television) and Women’s & Gender Studies from American University.
