Long known for its inspiring scenery, healing waters, cultural opportunities and outdoor adventures, Greater Palm Springs offers visitors a variety of unique experiences to discover in the oasis in Spring 2024.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The iconic Dunes Hotel, a landmark of the 1960s, is reborn in 2024 as The Dunes Palm Springs with a nostalgic touch of midcentury modern décor. Located in Downtown Palm Springs, this historic 127-room hotel melds its storied past with contemporary luxury, making it a standout destination.
Two remodeled boutique hotels have opened in Palm Springs: Lucille Palm Springs, hacienda-style villas and bungalows frequented by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz; and pet-friendly Jazz Hotel Palm Springs with 12 rooms for adults only.
ACRES LANDING in Desert Hot Springs features a collection of 24 renovated vintage camping trailers equipped with a front deck, patio, kitchenette, luxury linens, private outdoor cabana and soaking tub sourced with mineral hot spring waters.
Opening in 2024, Thompson Palm Springs will feature 168-rooms and suites; two elevated pool decks; 8,000 sq. ft. of curated meeting and event space; a thought-provoking art collection; and breezy al fresco Mediterranean restaurant, Lola Rose.
DINING
Bravo’s two-season Top Chef Angelo Sosa is launching two new restaurants at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells: a second location of his Tía Carmen concept which debuted in Phoenix in 2022, and Carmocha, a global small plates concept with bar and lounge.
Indio Taphouse is a celebration of flavor, community, and the spirit of downtown Indio's revitalization with over 120 craft brews from local favorites to international gems, curated hand-crafted cocktails and a menu of mouthwatering twists on pub classics.

Shorebird Restaurant at The Shops on El Paseo, the third location of this establishment, is a coastal eatery that proudly presents a modern take on classic Americana flavors with influences from traditional seafood and steakhouses.
Chef Gabriel Woo of Bar Cecil is re-imagining the culinary offerings at the Palm Springs Art Museum with his new restaurant, Livs Palm Springs named after his daughter, Olivia. While diners await the full opening, “Little Livs” operates weekly on Thursday nights.
Sonny’s Bar & Grill, known for its exquisite dining experience, authentic cuisine and fresh ingredients, has opened on Arenas Road in Palm Springs
The Skylark hotel on Palm Canyon in Palm Springs is launching Lost Property Restaurant & Bar, a delightful mix of coastal American bar fare served with a side of laid-back charm.
Espresso Self, a new coffee shop on Pierson in Desert Hot Springs actively participates in its mission to bring customers the most flavorful, full-bodied beverages they can get their hands on.
ATTRACTIONS
The Compound at Acrisure Arena is an elevated outdoor lounge at the arena with a dedicated bar, a variety of food, 9-hole mini golf, pickleball, half-court basketball, bocce ball and fire pits with couches and gravity chairs. Ticket holders are eligible to upgrade their event experience by purchasing admission to the lounge.

Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert will launch nearly 40 new hands-on exhibits over Memorial Day weekend with the re-opening of the museum. Designed to inspire personal growth and engage curiosity and creativity for children under the age of 8.
Happy Alley, a multifaceted artistic installation on Miles Avenue between Towne Street and Oasis Street in downtown Indio, includes a canopy of colored umbrellas and murals. One mural features iconic desert imagery and another incorporates black light elements, creating a unique and captivating effect after dark.
Disc Golf is now available at Palm Royale Country Club in La Quinta, a public eighteen-hole, par three walking golf course. At just over 2,000 yards, the course is perfect for disc golf or a quick round of traditional golf.
RETAIL
After 90 years in Provincetown, MA, Perry’s Fine Wines is coming to Palm Springs. Opening in 2024, Perry’s expansion outside of Cape Cod will bring multi-award-winning service & selection of fine wine to the desert.
Bean Goods opening at the Flannery Exchange in Palm Springs is a shop for stylish dachshund themed goods, made by Doxie lovers for Doxie lovers.
The Dragon's Den in Palm Desert is a tabletop game lounge with custom tables to play popular roleplay games, board games and more. Games are available for purchase or rent.
PROGRAMMING
Immerse yourself in pure relaxation with a Good Vibes floating sound bath, where a unique blend of sounds, scents, soft lighting, and gentle water awaits. This meditative musical experience takes place with guests floating on rafts in a pool, allowing participants to discover a state of harmony inside and out.
The nostalgic melodies of yesteryear come alive at Carousel, a weekly concert series of captivating jazz shows at the Cascade Lounge at the Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs.
Food Truck Fridays takes place weekly from 5 to 10 p.m. at the corner of Towne Street and Bliss Avenue in downtown Indio. Here, you can find a diverse range of local vendors who offer a variety of entertainment and family-friendly activities.
Giggling with Goats offers an emerging form of animal-assisted therapy that harnesses the therapeutic benefits of interacting with gentle miniature dwarf goats. Individual and private group sessions take place outdoors on a family farm in Indio.
