GREATER PALM SPRINGS TOURISM FOUNDATION
AUTISM REIMBURSEMENT GRANT
In alignment with our mission to enhance the visitor experience, advance accessibility, and create safe spaces for all, we have created the Tourism Foundation Autism Certification Grant.
This grant provides a $2,500 reimbursement for hospitality related businesses that commit to becoming a Certified Autism Center through IBCCES (the International Board of Credentialing and Continued Education Standards). This grant is also available for certification renewals, which are required every two years.
We believe this training will impart knowledge and understanding on your staff so they may better serve individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. This will create confidence within your customers, strengthen the relationships between your colleagues and help build a more compassionate community. In becoming a Certified Autism Center, you join more than 30 organizations across the Greater Palm Springs area that comprise our Certified Autism Destination. Thank you!

Requirements:
- Your organization must be a hospitality related business that is located in the Coachella Valley and can demonstrate the need for financial assistance.
- We must receive confirmation from IBCCES of program completion and certification achievement so you can receive your reimbursement.
- In some cases, IBCCES will require an onsite audit for certification. This is typically for attractions, water and amusement parks, and large resort-style hotels. Included in this audit is a report on how to make your property better prepared, safer, and more accommodating for visitors on the spectrum. It also includes sensory guide signs for you to post on your property that detail how senses will be affected in different areas. This requirement is solely determined by IBCCES.
