Visitors to Greater Palm Springs will again be able to enjoy the relaxation and healing benefits of the hot mineral spring that gave the city of Palm Springs — and hot mineral spring’s stewards, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians — their names, The Spa at Séc-he is open for everyone to experience.

Located in downtown Palm Springs on Tribal land at 200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, The Spa at Séc-he will offer visitors a chance to experience what is planned to be one of the most luxurious hot springs spas in the nation and also individually soak in the hot spring water, which since time immemorial has been sacred to the Tribe, providing it with sustenance and a place to pray and gather.

"The hot spring water means everything to us,” says Agua Caliente Tribal Chairman Reid D. Milanovich. “It's at the heart of tribal life and has been a cultural resource for us and our ancestors for thousands of years. The power of these healing waters is real, and we are proud to offer the experience to all who come."

The Spa at Sec-he mineral hot springs

The hot spring water will be sourced directly from the underground Agua Caliente Hot Mineral Spring (called “Séc-he” in the Cahuilla language), which last saw the earth’s surface more than 12,000 years ago, and has a unique mineral composition. The Spa at Séc-he complex is more than 73,000 square feet. This includes the interior and an expansive outdoor pool area.

Beyond experiencing the hot mineral spring waters, spa guests will be able to enjoy so much more – so be sure to allow for a whole day of relaxation and wellness when you visit. In addition to 22 private mineral baths, The Spa at Séc-he offers 15 spa treatment rooms; a cryotherapy (cold) chamber, said to help with muscle pain and some joint and muscle disorders, such as arthritis, and faster healing of athletic injuries; two float pod suites; two halotherapy salt caves; a “grounding” room; an acoustic wellness lounge; a menthol dry sauna and eucalyptus steam room; a tranquility garden; and the Málmal Cafe.

For those interested in working out during their getaway and then hanging out by the pool, The Spa at Séc-he also features a boutique fitness area and a resort-style mineral pool with four whirlpools, luxury cabanas, and poolside bar with food service.

Then, after a full day of wellness and relaxation, the Spa’s full-service salon with scalp treatment bed can help you get ready for a night out on the town.
