National Travel and Tourism Week: May 3-9, 2020

Travel unites us. It brings us joy. It inspires us to explore new frontiers, expand perspectives and make meaningful connections. And it’s essential to the U.S. economy, generating trillions of dollars and supporting 9 million jobs in 2019. Locally, tourism supports 53,500 jobs and contributed $7.5 billion to the Coachella Valley economy in 2019.

Though most travel plans have been put on pause due to the coronavirus crisis, the #SpiritOfTravel cannot be broken. National Travel and Tourism Week is an annual tradition that honors the nation’s travel community, and now more than ever, it’s important to come together to support our tourism industry and workforce, as well as remember why we love to travel in the first place.

Since we can’t celebrate in person, the Greater Palm Springs CVB is hosting a series of virtual events to help rally support for an industry that will be crucial to our community’s recovery and to instill the #SpiritOfTravel in us all, even from afar. Because in times like these, we are stronger, and greater, together. Join us virtually with these Greater Palm Springs Zoom backgrounds.
