Parents looking for things to do with the kids in Greater Palm Springs will discover an oasis of creativity, artistry and pure imagination at the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert. With more than 80 hands-on exhibits, 6 acres and 3 galleries to explore, you’ll find endless ways to have fun (and a few laughs) with the whole family.

Annenberg Gallery
The museum’s largest play space is filled with puzzles, building blocks and other stimulating exhibits such as Toddlertown and Brain Buster Road. Help your kiddos reach the top of the mini rock-climbing wall and twist and turn their way through a colorful rope maze.

Dinah Shore Center
Build your own race car, discover how wind works, learn about the human body and find your scientific side in this second exhibition area that’s all about discovery and ingenuity.

Traveling Exhibit Gallery
Be transported to different time periods and places in this gallery dedicated to temporary, rotating displays. In the past, little ones have learned the basics of castle-building, met dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes and explored the watery depths of our world’s oceans.

Even more fun awaits outside: Make beautiful melodies in the music garden. Take a few spins around the Trike Track. Say “Hello” to the museum’s resident tortoises. And don’t forget to check the museum’s schedule for weekend workshops, programs and special events.
