DIGITAL MARKETING COORDINATOR

The Digital Marketing Coordinator serves as an integral member of the overall marketing team, working to fulfill the mission to market Greater Palm Springs as a premiere visitor and meeting/convention destination for the purpose of positively affecting the area’s economy and the quality of life for our citizens. The position requires fulfilling duties outlined in the attached description or otherwise assigned in support of the areas in, but not limited to: digital marketing, marketing and communications.

PROGRAM MANAGER, CERTIFIED TOURISM AMBASSADOR

The Certified Tourism Ambassador™ (CTA) Program is a certification program that serves to increase tourism by inspiring front-line hospitality employees and volunteers to work together to turn every visitor encounter into a positive, memorable experience. The CTA Manager oversees the overall strategy and implementation of the CTA Program. Responsibilities include meeting the CTA strategy goals, managing the scheduling of training classes, networking events, manage CTA website content and CTA database and participating as a program instructor.

MEDIA RELATIONS MANAGER

Under the direction of the Director of Communications, develop, implement and manage the CVB’s domestic and international media relations program with the mission to market Greater Palm Springs as a premier visitor and meeting/convention destination.

SENIOR MANAGER DESTINATION SERVICES

The Senior Manager is responsible for planning, executing and servicing sales programs and events including client events, trade shows, familiarity tours (FAMs), sales programs and CVB hosted events and programs. Oversees budget coordination, post-event analysis and reporting for programs and events. The individual must have an expertise related to destination attributes and stakeholder assets to represent the destination as a “local expert”. The person must be organized, detailed, professional, and self-motivated.

BRAND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

The Brand Communications Manager primary responsibility is to establish an internal communications hub to ensure the CVB’s initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to departments and stakeholders. The Brand Communications Manager directs the preparation and creation of external and internal marketing materials including the Board Report, the City Reports, and the Annual Report. The Brand Communications Manager possesses a positive, upbeat attitude and role in the organization. Promotes and exemplifies CVB values.

MARKETING MANAGER

The Marketing Manager actively develops and communicates the Destination Marketing Strategic Plan. The Marketing Manager works with the internal team as well as vendors to develop media plans and develops a marketing program focused on driving awareness and revenue to local businesses. Within the fast-paced working environment, the Marketing Manager coordinates project deadlines, budgets, and acts as the point of contact for agencies and staff.

RESEARCH ANALYST

The Research Analyst is responsible for monitoring consumer, economic, business, airline, leisure travel, and business meetings trends and advising on their impact on the destination and GPSCVB and its programs; overseeing marketing effectiveness research and analysis; providing foundational research for GPSCVB’s annual brand management (marketing) plan; and assisting CVB staff and partners with their information requests.

DIRECTOR OF PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

The Director of Partnership Development is responsible for overall Partner investment in CVB marketing programs, co-ops and events. Engage with destination Partners to further regional collaboration and support the CVB’s Destination Development Plan (DDP). The Director looks for innovative partner programs and initiatives to drive the DDP forward. The Director is responsible for developing sponsorships for CVB programs and initiatives and selling co-op advertising. The Director of Partnership Development is also responsible for the Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) program, Restaurant Week, and the management of other destination development programs, events or initiatives.
