The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visual concepts using computer software to communicate ideas through images and the layout of websites, advertising, logos and printed pages. All tasks performed are guided with the understanding the Brand Department was created to build upon and maintain a universal and consistent GPSCVB brand look and distinct visual personality, as well as maintain a destination marketing position that reflects consumer insights.


  • Meets with internal and external clients to discuss and determine scope of projects.
  • Advises on strategies to reach particular audiences.
  • Develops graphics for logos and websites.
  • Creates and assembles images and graphics to produce designs for websites, print media, product design and displays.
  • Design and develop brand identity ensuring brand consistency.
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative materials and copy.
  • Selects colors, images, text style/size and layouts.
  • Uses computer software to generate new images.
  • Review designs for errors prior to print or publication.
  • Makes editorial updates to text in files as needed.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Web Design
  • 3-5 years relevant working experience
  • Expert level in Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Ability to design and code interactive emails and other communications
  • Knowledge of and experience coding websites
  • Hospitality or CVB background preferred

Required Technical / Other Skills / Licenses

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• In-depth understanding of the CVB Brand department’s current products and future concepts

• A willingness to listen

• Ability to think creatively and innovatively

• Budget-management skills and proficiency

• Familiarity with the latest brand trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, printing and video/television production, etc.

• Strong ability to multitask

• Ability to consistently meet deadlines

• Knowledge of project management processes, workflow and terminology

• Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
