Summer dining in Greater Palm Springs is about to get even more delicious as the 4th Annual Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage event takes place from July 12 to August 18. Participating diners who purchase wristbands can enjoy $4 appetizers, desserts and drinks—with a portion of the proceeds benefitting local Greater Palm Springs charities and the chamber of commerce. Whether you’re new to the table or have already filled your plate in previous years, here are all the juicy details about Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage that will help you get the most out of discounted dining.

First Course

To officially start the event of savings, the Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage kick-off party will be held on Thursday, July 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at PIRCH. Wristbands for the event will be available for purchase for $10 in advance or at the door for entry. Last year, over 400 people attended the kick-off party at PIRCH, and this year, numbers are expected to be just as packed. The wristband will give attendees access to complimentary appetizers and cocktails all evening, as well as provide discounts on drinks, appetizers and desserts at any participating restaurant during the Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage dates.

Main Entree

If you do not attend the kick-off party, there is still a chance to purchase wristbands at the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce website. After purchase, wristbands can be physically picked up at the Chamber office.

You must bring a photo identification to receive your wristbands. Proceeds from sales will benefit local charities such as Angel View, American Cancer Society, Braille Institute, Coachella Valley Horse Rescue, Palm Springs Indians Youth, SafeHouse of the Desert, United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire, and the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert. 

Sweet as Dessert

A vast array of local eateries will be participating in Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage, enabling Greater Palm Springs diners to enjoy appetizers, desserts and drinks.

360 Sports at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage will have Cauliflower Bites, Chicken Flautas, and Domestic Beer. Acqua California Bistro is serving up some Truffle Fries, Blood Orange Margaritas, and Panna Cotta dessert.

For something sweet and simple, Ben & Jerry's is offering a regular-sized cup or cone with any ice cream flavor. Local favorite dessert store Brandini Toffee will offer Toffee Ice Cream Bars.

At Bernie's Lounge, you can enjoy Chicken Hot Wings with Blue Cheese Dressing on the side, Bernie’s Sangria with fresh fruit, and a Mixed Berry Cobbler. Burgers & Beer offers classic staples like Mozzarella Balls, Lime Margaritas, and Chocolate Cake for the discounted. Even Krispy Kreme is joining in with the deals by giving 25 percent off your entire order through August 18.

Catalan Mediterranean Cuisine is featuring any item from the Tapas menu selection and Watermelon Margaritas. For something unique, Haus of Poké is featuring Poké Nachos, Spam Musubi, and a regular-sized tea of choice.

Las Casuelas Nuevas is a local hotspot known for its fun atmosphere, and now visitors can enjoy Guacamole and chips, a House Margarita, or a Flan. In the same vein of Mexican cuisine, Maracas is offering an Elote (Mexican Street Corn), Mexican Egg Rolls, a Watermelon Basil Margarita or Pomegranate Mojito, and all homemade desserts.

For a taste of Italy, Norma's Italian Kitchen will feature 7 Piece Wings, Small Antipasta, Personal Pizzas, Glass of house red or white wine, and all desserts. O’Caines Irish Pub is also celebrating the occasion, with Chicken Drummettes served with blue cheese dressing, celery & carrot sticks, 6 oz Fish & Chips, a Personal Pizza, Guinness drafts, and a Sticky Toffee Pudding served.

Pinzimini at Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa will serve fine dining staples like Cauliflower Hummus, Baja Summer Night, Crimson King Apple Tarts. Local pizzeria Pieology will have their ooey gooey Cheesy Bread and Draft Beer for purchase. To treat yourself, Shame on the Moon is serving a glass of house red or white and 4 layer chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling.
