Festive Family Fun 

Halloween Themed Mad Scientist Event | Indio

When: October 22 | 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Join in for a fun night of outrageous mad science. Participate in fun science experiments, mix up some crazy chemistry and participate in science activities. This program provides participants a safe place to let their creative minds explore. 

Halloween Heroes and Villains Party

When: October 26 | 5 - 7 p.m.

Games, fun, and candy! Dress up and celebrate inside the Library. What huge event could bring heroes and villains together in peace? A huge party of course! 

Gather at the Gardens | The Gardens on El Paseo 

When: October 29 | 2 - 6 p.m.

Fall favorites, contests, and activities will be available for the whole family! Enjoy an afternoon of activities and contests (with prizes of course)! Ticket packages will be sold at the event and through Event Brite with proceeds benefitting Family YMCA of the Desert. Get your tickets here.

Indio Halloween Carnival | Indio Community Park 

When: October 29 | 1 - 6 p.m. 

Put your costume on and have fun when you attend the best Halloween carnival in Indio, yet. You can find fun activities from games and inflatables to a petting zoo and face paintings – and, of course, the candy! Participate in costume contests and make sure to bring a bag to hold all the candy you will receive. Admission starts at $5 per person. 

Howl-O-Ween | The Living Desert

When: October 29-30 | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Visitors of all ages are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes to enjoy a festive and family-friendly Halloween adventure, in addition to the everyday wonders of The Living Desert. A wicked good time will be had by all with activities including trick-or-treating, animal connections, a comedy magician, and more!

Halloween Spooktacular | Cathedral City

When: October 30 | 12 - 3 p.m.

 Join friends, neighbors, and family for a Spooktacular time including activities such as Halloween costume contests (two bikes given away each hour), police and fire exhibitions, music, and family games.

Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade | The Gardens on El Paseo 

When: October 30 | 12 p.m.

Grab the kids, pets, and folding chairs, and come early to grab a stop along El Paseo for the best views of the annual Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade! This masquerade-themed event will celebrate the community with delicious food, Halloween fun, and of course this delightful parade which kicks off at 12 p.m.!  

Book-o-Treat: Halloween Bash 

When: October 31 | 4 - 6 p.m. 

Join the Coachella Library for a fun, safe indoor Trick or Treat event. There will be everything from treats to a parade and then a full costume contest. All costumes must be family appropriate. See you there! 

Ghoulish Fun for Adults

Halloween at The Saguaro 

When: October 28 | 6 p.m. - 1 a.m. 

The Saguaro celebrates Halloween on Friday, October 28, with Monster Mash, a costume contest and BBQ dinner outdoors on the San Jacinto Lawn with dancing and cocktails with DJ Jake B in the newly-refreshed El Jefe Desert Cantina. 

“Hey Boo!” With Heklina, Deven & Ned

When: October 20 | 7 - 9 p.m.

Join the trio of terror: Heklina, Deven Green & Handsome Ned for a Halloween comedy and music show which is sure to inject your bones with tricks and treats. Heklina, international drag queen extraordinaire, will be “HELLina” with her spooky parody songs and hocus-pocus tales. Deven Green & Ned Douglas are the boniest award-winning performers on this side of purgatory. Brought back from the dead for one night only, their live music and songs with inscrutable words will fill you with frightful laughter.

Celebrate Halloween weekend with a wonderful night of live comedy at The Hilton Palm Springs featuring the acts of Maggie Hyde, Amanda Michelle and Tuesday Thomas. Get your tickets here

Miracle Springs 1st Annual Costume Ball

When: October 29 | 8 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Calling all superheroes, ghouls, carnival revelers and movie look-a-likes to Arenas Road in Palm Springs! Come out to show off your best costume and have a chance to win some incredible prizes! "BITE" Vampire Circus at PS Underground | PS Underground

Dress up in your darkest, most wicked clothes or costume to fit the part at this diabolical dinner party. Prepare to be frightened as this show does not hold back! Harvest Moon Concert Series presented by Ben & Jerry's at The River

Friends of the Desert Mountains - Bat Walk Night Adventure in La Quinta Cove 

When: October 29 | 6 - 8 p.m.

Learn about the many native creatures as you take part in this guided hike through the open desert. Plus in the spirit of Halloween, join the group wearing your best superhero bat costume (the best costume wins a prize!).
