The Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation was created to extend resources that are currently not available in the region, such as:

Student Scholarships
Providing access to superlative education and training is integral to helping future tourism professionals develop a skillset for leadership and innovation. The Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation encourages students to take advantage of on-the-job training and mentorship programs while in high school. The Tourism Foundation awards college scholarships to students who have excelled in academics and community involvement. Scholarship funds are available for both community and four-year colleges. Through our partnership with OneFuture Coachella Valley, the Tourism Foundation awarded 19 scholarships totaling $39,000 in 2022 to Coachella Valley students.

GPS Tourism Grants
Through a partnership with Visit Greater Palm Springs, the Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation provides a visitor experience grant to each of the 8 cities in Greater Palm Springs. Grant limits range in size based on their Visit Greater Palm Springs membership formula.

GPS Tourism Foundation Workforce Partnerships
Through a combination of education, resources, and networking, TEAM GPS is a partnership with College of the Desert’s PaCE program aimed at elevating our hospitality workforce and creating more opportunity for people in our community. TEAM GPS connects our students, entry-level workers, and those seeking employment with leaders in the industry and provides training that expands knowledge and understanding of our destination and those who visit it.
