CONVENTION SALES
The sales team just returned from IMEX America, which was held for the first time since 2019. The energy and excitement about the meetings industry was palpable during the team's 268 appointments. Visit Greater Palm Springs decided to scale back the booth this year and give back by making a donation of $20,000 to the local FIND Food Bank and Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation.
As we approach the end of the year, we continue to see steady lead volume and booking for meetings, conventions and events.
Lead volume September & October 2021:
- September/October 2021: 187 Leads = 108,511 Room Nights
Booking volume September & October 2021:
- September/October 2021: 45 Bookings = 24,938 Room Nights
Client site inspections in September and October numbered 13, worth 16,528 room nights, and we have converted 3,298 room nights. Year-to-date we have conducted 53 site inspections worth 58,833 room nights and 21 of these have converted, worth 18,151 room nights.
The sales team continues to engage with our customers through e-newsletters, webinars, presentations and face-to-face meetings.Travel for face-to-face meetings in September/October included ConferenceDirect's Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Prestige Global Partners in Seattle/Portland and ASAE Industry Partner Alliance in Savannah.
Looking forward, missions and events include: American Express Interaction in Atlantic City, Financial Institute of Certified Planners (FICP) in Phoenix, California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE) in Sacramento, Association Forumn in Chicago, and Connect in Long Beach.
