The Pace Report provides strategic benchmarking data, tracking performance, pace, and peer set metrics at national and regional levels. This helps identify trends and opportunities to optimize group booking numbers.
YTD Production as of End of August
Booking pace: The VGPS team is currently tracking 262,999 room nights on the books for 2025 ahead of 230,073 room nights same time last year (STLY) and 241,340 room nights same time two years ago (ST2Y)—an encouraging indicator of continued strong performance.
Looking Ahead
Group pace for Greater Palm Springs continues to show impressive strength, with solid growth projected over the next three years. For the first time since the pandemic, we’re seeing positive booking trends extending three years out—a clear and promising indicator of sustained demand and growing confidence in our destination.
- 2026: We are at 194,012 room nights booked ahead of same time last year (193,242 on the books in 2024, and 164,341 in 2023).
- 2027: We are at 81,413 room nights booked slightly behind same time last year (89,174 on the books in 2024, and 95,160 in 2023).
- 2028: We are at 43,136 room nights booked ahead of same time last year (39,704 on the books in 2024, and 33,081 in 2023).
Top-Producing Segments: Health & Medical, High Tech/Electronic/Computer, Educational, and Trade/Commercial.
Top Regions by End-User: The strongest geographic markets for definite room nights are Southern California, Mid-Atlantic, and Northern California.
