The Pace Report provides strategic data for benchmarking and measuring performance, pace, and peer set metrics nationally and regionally. This helps track group booking numbers to assist in identifying, understanding, and capitalizing on trends.
2025 Performance Highlights
Year-End Booking Pace: Finished the year 15% ahead of the 2024 pace target, with 273,487 room nights on the books, compared to a target of 236,886.
Top-Producing Segments: Health & Medical, Trade & Commercial, and Sporting Events continued to be the strongest contributors to booked room nights.
Top Regions by End-User: Northern California, Southern California, and the Midwest remained the leading source markets.
2026 Outlook
Slightly Ahead of Prior Year: As of this reporting period, 220,090 room nights are on the books for 2026, slightly ahead of the same time last year (219,378 room nights).
Quarterly Focus: The team is currently focused on securing short-term opportunities in Q2, as April and May are pacing slightly behind target and remain priority need periods for hotel partners.
2027 Forecast
Ahead of Last Year: Bookings for 2027 are 104% ahead of the same time last year, with 108,978 room nights on the books, compared to 104,397 at this time last year.
2028 and Beyond
Strong Early Momentum: For 2028, bookings are 118% ahead of the same time last year, with 60,552 room nights on the books, compared to 51,434 at this point last year.
